Vincent's Limit Breaks
Unlike the other characters, Vincent doesn't perform a single attack when his Limit Break is used; instead, he transforms into a beast. He stays in that form until killed (or until the end of the battle), and can't be controlled.
For each of the four levels, Vincent has only one skill (vs. the two of other characters). Each skill transforms Vincent into a different beast; each beast has two different attacks that are performed randomly.
Level 1 Break
Galian Beast
A horned purple beast. Vincent starts with this skill. When Vincent transforms into the Galian Beast, his maximum HP are multiplied by 1.3 temporarily (they still can't exceed 9999), and he's completely healed. His attacks as the Galian Beast are:
- Berserk Dance: claws and bites an enemy for physical damage.
- Beast Flare: breathes orbs for Fire damage on all opponents.
Tip: avoid transforming into the Galian Beast if you're fighting enemies that are healed by Fire. :)
Level 2 Break
Death Gigas
Looks somewhat like a Frankenstein's monster. Vincent learns this skill when he's killed 60 enemies since the beginning of the game. When Vincent transforms into the Death Gigas, his maximum HP are doubled temporarily (they still can't exceed 9999), and he's completely healed. His attacks as the Death Gigas are:
- Gigadunk: a big punch on an enemy.
- Livewire: fires electricity, Lightning damage on all opponents.
Tip: similarly to what happened with the Galian Beast, you should avoid transforming into the Death Gigas if you're fighting enemies that are healed by Lightning.
Level 3 Break
Hellmasker
A masked guy with a chainsaw... some say he looks like Jason from the Friday 13th movies. Vincent learns this skill when he's killed 120 enemies since the beginning of the game. When Vincent transforms into the Hellmasker, he's completely healed. His attacks as the Hellmasker are:
- Splattercombo: 5 attacks in a row with the chainsaw.
- Nightmare: Affects one opponent. Causes Poison, Silence, Sleep and Confusion status ailment.
Level 4 Break
Chaos
It's the final boss from the first Final Fantasy! (gasp! :) To learn this skill, you must retrieve the 'Chaos' item from behind the Waterfall and use it on Vincent when he's already learnt Hellmasker. When Vincent transforms into Chaos, he's completely healed. His attacks as Chaos are:
- Chaos Saber: attacks all enemies with his wings.
- Satan Slam: The ground below the enemies is re-shaped as a skull; its eyes emit a ray which inflicts Sudden Death on all enemies. Enemies immune to Sudden Death receive Special damage anyway, as small flying skulls appear to hit them.
